Fall day at the park

Enjoying these last few days of fall...

Ear Tubes

Reagan playing in her hospital jammies waiting to be taken for anesthesia. Justin and I both went in the room and held her as they put her to sleep. Then Justin and I were off to the waiting room. The surgery took only 20 minutes and then to recovery. This was a piece of cake compared to last year!!
After many ear infections her first year and a half, we decided that it was time for tubes. We were at Children's by 6:30 am and back home by 10 am. She was a little groggy and fussy during the day but by early evening, we were playing at the park enjoying the fall sunshine on our day off from work and school.

Mess!!

"Mess!!" is what I heard Reagan say when I walked into see this...
Let's hit the tub!!

Girls Night

Thanks Kara for hosting!! All having moved within the last few months, we had lots of catching up to do. A fun night full of, gabbin' about the men and children in our life, games, food, drinks, and of course a few...
...laughs as well!!

Teeth are not for biting!!

Maybe getting Reagan a shark towel was not the best idea...another report from school that she bit a friend today!! Uuuugggg!!! Thank you fellow mommies for all the book suggestions for the Terrific 2s!!!

Baby Cousin Philly

We went over to see little cuz' Philly over the weekend. What a little honey with his big blue eyes. We are encouraging gentle touches with Reagan and told her that she could hold his foot for the picture, so here she is with her "gentle touches."

The Little Tiddley Winks!!

Pics of Great Grandma Nikunen holding Reagan when she was 3 weeks old--They share the same birthday!!
Reagan's Granny-Great Nikunen is 95 years young and this post is just for her. I call her from time to time, and everytime I do, I remind myself that I need to do this even more often than I do, because a simple phone call means the world to her as she ends every conversation with, "Thanks a million for calling!" This week Grandma fell setting her clock back and hurt her arm--torn rotator cuff, so I called to see how she was. She said it was a little painful but more than anything she was upset that she was missing out on Wii Bowling at the Senior Home!!! She asked if I knew that game, and I just had to laugh!! I guess not as well as my 95 year old Grandma!! :)
Grandma playing Wii Bowling
I told her I was on my way to pick up Reagan from school and that it was the best part of my day. She told me to give lots of hugs and kisses to, "The Little Tiddley Winks!" So cute---I just wanted to be sure to write these words down as not to forget them and to be sure that Reagan has them to read one day.

Halloween 2009

Trying to get a dog who is not exactly happy wearing a chicken costume and a 1 1/2 year old to sit still for a picture is difficult!!
Trick-or-Treat
Going through the loot and trying on make-up
Bath time in the tub
Good times...
Halloween was a little different this year for Reagan than last. Last year, she just got out of the hospital from her heart surgery and was a pea pod that we propped up against the pumpkins. This year, she was out running around trick-or-treating and had it down by the second house saying, "boo!!" or "trick-or-treat!"
Reagan had her school party on Friday where they all wore their costumes and had a party in their classrooms. On Saturday morning, we met Grandma Kathy for a bagel and latte so she could see Reagan's costume. She would try and bee scary and say, "Boo!" Then we made our way through our old neighborhood and visited Mark and Katherine. Then home for a nap after the fun gifts and candy from Grandma and the Juicies (thank you!!), to prep for the evening festivities.
Steve, Shauna and girls were visiting from WI and they came over with Kara, Mark, Kelly and Ryan for a little Halloween get-together at the Hammerbacks. The girls got their costumes on we loaded everyone up in wagons and the trailer, packed some treats for the adults and made our way out into the neighborhood. When the girls had their fill of candy, we made our way back. The girls, Anna, Alexa and Reagan took a bubble bath and then conked out. The adults enjoyed lots of treats, food, drinks, and laughs with old friends playing The Newlywed game and Loaded Questions.
